ProfileI am an experienced Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and a graduate of our Family Nurse Practitioner program. I currently practice at Anderson Bariactic Physicians, Inc. as well as teach in the School of Nursing. I have more than thirty years of nursing experience and have taught at Clemson for over fifteen years. My specialty field is acute care pediatrics. I have a wide variety of practice experience and have served as a nurse in a broad range of clinical settings including in-patient acute care, intensive care, home health, and community health. I've had the privilege of teaching nursing courses at all student levels ranging from nursing fundamentals, medical surgical nursing, skills/simulation lab, professionalism, health assessment, and pediatrics class and clinical. I believe in supporting the community aspect of pediatrics. I've supervised/taught students in both the acute care and community clinical settings while performing health and wellness screenings, immunization clinics, health fairs, and Head Start educational screenings and health clinics. I also have served as a Student Nurses Association Advisor for the Clemson School of Nursing locally and at state and national conventions. | |
