Amanda Cooper Fine began her teaching career at Clemson University in 2008 as a marketing lecturer and now serves as Assistant Department Chair and Principal Lecturer in the Department of Marketing.
In 2023, she received the Douglas W. Bradbury Award in recognition of her contributions to the Clemson Honors College. Involvement includes reading honors applications, teaching honors courses, interviewing National Scholars candidates, and chairing the department’s honors committee.
Fine serves as a professor in the Thomas F. Chapman Leadership Scholars Program, where she mentors senior students as they complete their individual service projects and lead the Christmas 4 Kids initiative.
Fine is also involved with the Robert H. Brooks Sports Science Institute as a Faculty Fellow, where she frequently coordinates guest speakers from the sports industry. Prior to coming to Clemson, she worked in the Corporate Partner Services department at Atlanta Spirit, LLC, parent company of the Atlanta Thrashers and Atlanta Hawks, and operating rights owner of Philips Arena. Fine also interned for one year in the Corporate Sales department of the Atlanta Braves. Once at Clemson for graduate school, she worked for Clemson Tiger Sports Properties (Learfield).
She has been involved with the Tiger Paw Classic Golf Tournament since its inception in 2010, which currently benefits Ripple of One. Her students help execute the tournament as a complement to the Sales Innovation Program students responsible for selling sponsorships and participation.
Fine currently serves on the Teaching Effectiveness Advisory Group for the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business and is a member or the advisory board for Clemson’s Office of Teaching Effectiveness and Innovation, helping support and advance high-quality teaching across the university. She has been recognized for her teaching via multiple department and college awards. In 2026, Fine received the Provost Senior Outstanding Teaching Award.
