Dr. Lucy Chernykh is the Wells Fargo Professor of Banking. Her current research focuses on international finance and financial stability, with a primary interest in the Russian banking market and regulation. Her work has been published in several premier finance journals, such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, Review of Corporate Finance Studies, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, and the Journal of Financial Stability. Dr. Chernykh has served in multiple academic leadership roles, including on the Board of Directors of the Eastern Finance and the Southern Finance Associations, and as a track chair organizer for multiple academic finance conferences. She currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Financial Research.
