Profile

Dr. Lucy Chernykh is the Wells Fargo Professor of Banking. Her research focuses on financial institutions, financial stability, regulatory forbearance and compliance, and deposit insurance, with extensive expertise in the Russian financial system. Her work has been published in leading finance journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, Review of Corporate Finance Studies, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Journal of Banking & Finance.

Dr. Chernykh serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Financial Research and has held multiple leadership roles in academic finance associations and conferences. At Clemson, she currently serves on the University Grievance Board and the Graduate Academic Integrity Committee.
