Profile
With over three decades of combined corporate and academic experience, I am dedicated to preparing the next generation of business leaders through rigorous, practice-informed teaching.
My background integrates substantial corporate finance expertise with formal business education. I hold a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Federal University of Bahia (Brazil) and an MBA in Finance and Business Consulting from the University of Connecticut, complemented by certifications in Investor Relations and Accounting. During my twenty-plus years in corporate finance, I led critical initiatives in pricing strategy, financial planning for sales teams, and cross-functional projects involving capital markets oversight and regulatory engagement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and U.S. Postal Service.
Over the past decade, I have transitioned fully into academia. This shift reflects my conviction that business education should integrate theoretical rigor with real-world perspective, equipping students not just with concepts but with practical judgment.
My international experience, including travel to over 40 countries and fluency in Portuguese, a good command of French, and a working knowledge of Spanish and Italian, enriches my teaching of international business and provides students with a genuinely global context. Beyond the classroom, I remain committed to institutional and community engagement, serving on steering committees and other leadership roles.
I am energized by the opportunity to invest in students’ growth and success by bringing both seasoned professional insight and a genuine commitment to their development.
