MAJ Matthew W. Farrar enlisted into the USAR in November of 2003 and served with the 1215TH GSU at Fort Drum, NY until 2006 as a 31B (Military Police). MAJ Farrar commissioned as an 11A (Infantry Officer) in 2009 after graduating from the University of South Carolina and completing the Army ROTC program.
MAJ Farrar graduated from Auburn High School (Auburn, NY) in 2005 and received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina in 2009. He received a Masters in Business Administration from Clemson University in 2024. He is a graduate of the Infantry Basic Officer Leadership Course and Air Defense Artillery Captains Career Course.
