Dirk joined academia after 20+ years as a tax and finance attorney with various roles in executive leadership and advisory/consulting placements. His professional experience has taken him all over the globe, transacting business in over forty countries, and he has previously maintained offices in six of those. Dirk is active in a variety of early-stage ventures and angel funds. He maintains membership at HCNY and more golf clubs than he would like to admit. Dirk and his wife, Heather, split time between Savannah, GA, and Clemson, SC. He is a proud bonus dad to twins Madison and Brayden, in addition to the family airedale Arie.
