Profile

Dr. Derksen’s published research includes interactive media for the web, visualization in digital humanities, and communication for behavior change. Currently, he is an assistant professor of graphic communications at Clemson University, and his research deals with machine learning IoT devices that aid learning for autistic children and the general population. Many of his PhD students work on digital human-computer interactions, including designed devices and robotic systems to assist humans.
