    Profile

    Sergeant First Class Jonathan T Jacoba enlisted under the One Station Unit Training and attended Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO from February 2001 to June 2001. From June 2001 to November 2004 he was assigned to A Co 5th Engineer Battalion where he served as a Combat Engineer, Armored Vehicle Launched Bridge Tank Commander (TC) and Team Leader. While assigned to the unit he deployed in support of peacekeeping operations in Kosovo (2001) and Combat Operations during the invasion of Iraq (2003). From November 2004 to June 2010 he was assigned to A Co 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 10th Mountain Division Ft. Drum, NY and served as a Combat Engineer Team Leader and Squad Leader. While assigned to the unit he deployed in support of Combat Operations in Afghanistan in 2006 and 2008. From June 2010 to October 2013 he was assigned to the 3rd Battalion 64th Regiment (Training Support) Ft. Bliss, TX and served as a lead Observer Controller Trainer (OC/T). From October 2013 to October 2018 he was assigned to the 19th Engineer Battalion, Ft. Knox, KY and served as a Combat Engineer Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant. While assigned to the unit he deployed to Afghanistan in support of stability and security operations in 2016. From October 2018 to present SFC Jacoba is currently assigned to the Clemson University Army ROTC program and serves as a Military Leadership Instructor. SFC Jacoba's military education includes the Basic Leadership Course, Advanced Leadership Course, Senior Leadership Course, Advanced Infantry Marksmanship Strategies and Standards Course, Explosive Ordnance Clearance Agent Course, Tactical Electronic Warfare Operations Course, Equal Opportunity Leaders Course, the Sapper Leader Course and the Common Faculty Development Instructor Course.
