Mr. Jim Liddle began instructing at Clemson in 2015 after over 20 years of leadership experience in the aerospace industry. He spent 5 years as a division President at Transdigm, one of the most profitable, mid-sized, publicly-held aerospace companies in the world. Much of his experience is in business strategy, operations, purchasing and quality management. He has experience with US export laws as an export control Empowered Official. He participated with the due diligence of multiple M&As. He also led the relocation of an acquired aviation ignition system business from Illinois to South Carolina.

As President, Mr. Liddle was responsible for leading, building and executing annual business plans that included aggressive growth and cost reduction targets. The companies he led consistently grew their bottom line by 10% or more per year using cost reductions, new business and strategic pricing. He has traveled to 4 continents and over 30 countries.

Mr. Liddle served on the Board of Directors for the Aviation Distributors and Manufacturers Association from 2012 to 2013. He is the past Chairman and past Treasure for the Pickens County YMCA. He was appointed to the Board of Voter Registration and Elections for Pickens County in May 2020 and currently serves as Chairman. He also continues to serve as a mentor in the Clemson Tiger Ties program.
