Professor Gibson joined the School of Accountancy at Clemson University in January 2022. She received her DBA in Accounting from Liberty University (May 2018). She has taught accounting for eight years in higher ed. She has worked in for-profit and not-for-profit accounting and worked in all aspects of accounting. She continues her education helping others with studies in Forensic Psychology (MS) at Purdue and continuing studies from her DBA to study the behaviors of criminals in accounting/fraud, in a post graduate program. While completing her degree at Purdue, she served on Golden Key International Society (treasurer), and was a member of Psi Chi, Alpha Beta Kappa, and Alpha Alpha Alpha.

Research Interests

  • Professor Gibson research focuses on accounting fraud in the accounting profession. She will be writing essays and a book on the psychology behind fraud.
