Research in the Forest
Faculty from multiple Clemson colleges use the Forest to explore topics in forestry, ecology, wildlife biology, environmental science and more. Researchers from other universities and partner institutions also conduct studies here, extending the Forest’s impact across the region.
These projects not only advance scientific understanding but also create meaningful learning experiences for students. They connect classroom concepts with fieldwork, encourage collaboration across disciplines and support Clemson’s land-grant mission to serve communities through research, education and outreach.
Below is a sampling of faculty-led research currently taking place in the Clemson Experimental Forest.
