Parking and Transportation Services

Donations for Citations

Donations for Citations is a fund-raising event sponsored by Parking and Transportation Services in collaboration with The Clemson Paw Pantry and Clemson's Undergraduate Student Government.

This program allows students and employees who receive a non-public safety citation from December 5 - 9, 2022 to either pay their citations in full or exercise the option to donate to The Clemson Paw Pantry within 15 days of receiving the citation in exchange for reducing or dismissing their citation based on the monetary value of their donation. As an added incentive, Parking and Transportation Services will match your cash donation with a gift in-kind made directly to The Paw Pantry.

How The Program Works

  1. Receive a non-public safety citation. For example, a citation for an Expired Meter, the value of that citation is $15
  2. Purchase eligible Food, Household Items or Hygienic Supplies and have a receipt. You must provide a physical receipt with the purchase amount listed for the goods purchased to The PAW Pantry. The PAW Pantry will only accept eligible Food, Household Items or Hygienic Supplies that are listed on The PAW Pantry Website.
  3. Take eligible items and receipt to The PAW Pantry during operating hours. The The PAW Pantry is located in Sirrine Hall - Room 233 - and their Hours of Operation for donations to be dropped off and process are as follows:
    • Sunday - 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Tuesday - 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
    • Wednesday - 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Friday - 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
    • If these hours do not work for you, you can contact The PAW Pantry at pawpantry@clemson.edu to make alternative arrangements.
  4. The PAW Pantry representative will validate your receipt.
  5. Bring validated receipt to Parking and Transportation Services. After The PAW Pantry representative verifies your receipt and accepts your donation, they will then provide you with a validation receipt that you must bring to the Parking and Transportation Office Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Your citation amount will be adjusted, or the citation will be dismissed, based on your donation amount.
