Tiger Transit Access Card

Order your access card: Go to Manage My Account to buy your access card today.

Access Cards are required to board the bus. These cards non-refundable. 

Who Needs An Access Card

The following individuals are required to purchase Tiger Commute Access Cards to ride the Tiger Commute Route:

  • Any student (undergraduate or graduate) who has not paid the "Transit Fee" on their University Bill. Verify if you have paid this fee or not by logging into iRoar and viewing your bill.
  • All faculty and staff

How Much Are Access Cards

Annual Cards: $140. Valid August 16, 2023 to August 15, 2024

Fall Card: $57. Valid August 16, 2023 to December 31, 2023

Spring Card: $57. Valid January 1, 2024 to May 15, 2024

Summer Card: $50. Valid May 15, 2023 to August 15, 2023

One Day Passes: $3/day. Valid for the date you purchase. Must show picture of receipt to board.

To Order a Tiger Transit Access Card

  1. Go to Manage My Account to log into your Parking account.
  2. Log in with your Clemson username and password (same login info you would use to log into iRoar or Peoplesoft).
  3. You will be taken to your Parking Portal. Select the grey box that reads “Get Permits”.
  4. Choose the pass that works best for you:
    • Tiger Comm Bus Pass-2024 Annual valid now through Aug 15, 2024
    • Spring 2024 Tiger Commute Bus Pass valid now through May 15, 2024
    • Tiger Commute Bus Pass - One Day valid for the one day you purchase for.
  5. Check the two boxes at the bottom of the page and click Next.
  6. Confirm your payment method (please note Payroll Deduction is not an option for the Transit Access Cards) and click “Pay Now” at the bottom of the screen.
  7. Check one last time that you are buying the correct Transit Access Card and click “Next”.
  8. You will be taken to Clemson Marketplace where you enter your credit or debit card information and complete your purchase.
  9. When you have completed your purchase, you will be brought back to your Parking Portal to view your receipt.

Special Note to Non-Transit Fee Paying Students

Students who have not paid the Transit Fee as part of their University tuition are required to purchase Tiger Transit Access Cards to ride Tiger Commute. It will not appear readily in your available permit list. When you are ready to purchase your Access Card, please do the following actions:

  • Call Parking and Transportation Services during business hours (7:30AM to 4:30 PM Mon-Fri) 864-656-2270
  • Ask for the customer service rep to "update your classification to Tiger Commute Access Card".
  • Log out of your Parking Account and log back in.
  • Purchase your Access Card using the instructions above. You will be able to purchase the Access Card until 11:59 PM that same day. If you wait until after midnight, you will have call again as your classification reverts back.

What Happens After Purchase

Your Tiger Commute Access Card is loaded to your CUID (mobile or physical). When you board the bus, you will scan your CUID (mobile or physical) as you get on.

The configuration file is updated each Monday so do not be alarmed if on the date of purchase your card comes up invalid. If it has been longer than a week and you are still coming up invalid, please contact Parking and Transportation Services at transit@clemson.edu.

 

What if I Have to Drive One Day

Online Temporary Permit for $4 per Day:

If you know you are going to be coming to campus, you can purchase a daily permit online for $4 per day.

  1. You follow the same steps above to access your Parking Portal and click “Get Permits”. You will
  2. Select “2023 Temporary Permit/2023 Temporary Parking Permit (non-refundable)”, check the boxes, and click “Next”.
  3. Select the date(s) you want your permit to be effective. If you only need one day, your Effective Date and Expiration Date will be the same day. These permits expire at 11:59 PM on the date of expiration.
  4. Complete the purchase process.
  5. Print and display the permit on your dash.

Temporary Scratch Off Permits:

For those that want to plan ahead or have added flexibility, you can purchase Temporary Scratch Off Permits in Parking and Transportation Services for $4 each. You can buy 1, 5, or 10 and keep them in your glove box. When you need to use one, take one out, scratch off the date you are using it (just like a lottery ticket), and hang it on your review mirror. These permits will allow you to park according to the standard rules and regulations of your permit type.
