Nighttime Tiger Transit adjusting its operating hours starting Monday, Sept. 21

Beginning Monday, September 21, 2020, Nighttime Tiger Transit will be operating under modified hours. Nighttime Tiger Transit will operate 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday – Thursday and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday – Sunday. Students are encouraged to book their rides using the “TransLoc” app to get features such as vehicle tracking, push notifications, and booking recurring rides with ease.

Plan ahead and be aware of some important parking options if you need access to your car Monday – Thursday 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.

  1. Resident students can park their car in unrestricted employee (green parking lines, no “24 HR” pavement marking) from 7 p.m.–7 a.m., Monday – Thursday and from 4:30 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Monday. It must be moved no later than 7 a.m.
  2. Resident students can park in unrestricted employee spaces in specific employee lots Monday – Thursday starting at 4:30 p.m. Consult your parking permit guidelines for a list of those employee lots.
  3. Resident students can park (FREE) at any metered spaces on campus from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Note: Any student experiencing an emergency should call CUPD at 864-656-2222.

COVID-19 has necessitated a number of changes to the Nighttime Tiger Transit service.

  1. Masks are required to board any Tiger Transit bus. No mask…no ride.
  2. No group rides. To support contact tracing, we are asking that all students book individual rides.
  3. Frequent cleaning of the bus. Throughout the night, buses will pause from service to allow the drivers to disinfect all high touch areas. Each night, the entire vehicle, including the AC system, is disinfected.
