Annual Academic Scholarship
Purpose
- To provide financial assistance to one or more Lancaster County graduating high school seniors or graduates who will enroll in an accredited college or university and major in some field of agriculture (two (2) or four (4) year program). Other majors may be considered, but preference will be given to agriculture majors.
Award
- An annual scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to a Lancaster County senior or high school graduate. Equal payments of one-half of the award will be sent to the institution’s financial aid office at the beginning of each semester to be credited to the student’s account for tuition, books or fees.
Rules
- The applicant must be a graduating senior or high school graduate and be a resident of Lancaster County.
- The applicant must submit the application and supporting documents by April 15, 2022. Awards will be made by May 1, 2022.
- Applicant may be required to be interviewed by the Scholarship Committee.
- All questions on the application form must be answered.
- Applicant must provide high school and/or college transcripts with the scholarship application.
- The school counselor, agriculture teacher, or another teacher of your choosing must submit a letter of recommendation for you to the Scholarship Committee. Recommendation letters and transcripts may be mailed to:

The Scholarship Committee will not consider your application until all requested information is received.
- Scholarship recipients must maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average in college. If this average is not maintained, no further payments will be made until the 2.5 average is achieved.
- The scholarship is a one-year award. However, current recipients may reapply annually.
