4-H Day and Overnight Camping Programs

4-H Camp: Youth taking part in an Extension planned educational experience of group living in the outdoors. Overnight camping includes being away from home at least one night (resident, primitive, or travel camping) and is not restricted to members of organized 4-H clubs. Day camping consists of multiple-day programs, with youth returning home each evening.

2019 SC 4-H Senior Weekend: Boot Camp
March 1-3 at Camp Bob Cooper in Summerton, SC
Open to 4-Hers ages 14-18
Cost $115. Deadline February 15.
Activities will motivate teens to expand their 4-H knowledge and leadership skills. Youth will enjoy educational and recreational activities while building life skills and friendships.

Clovers In the Kitchen Summer Day Camp
June 5-6 from 9:00-12:00 at the Newberry Clemson Extension Office
Open to ages 5-9. Spaces limited. Deadline May 31.
Cost $20 for current members and $30 for non-members
Activities include kitchen safety, nutrition, cooking, and tasting. Lunch will be served each day.

June 11-12 from 9:00 - 12:00 at the Newberry Clemson Extension Office
Open to ages 9-13. Spaces limited. Deadline May 31.
Cost $30 for current members and $40 for non-members
Activities will cover fire starting, disaster survival, food prep, water purification, shelter building, compass reading, and more. Each youth will go home with a 3 day survival kit.

Open to ages 7-14. Limited space. Deadline May 31.
Cost $280 for current members and $290 for non-members
Activities include leadership, science, and healthy lifestyles as well as swimming, canoeing, high adventure elements, nature hikes, team sports, shooting sports, games, skits, campfire, dance and talent show.

June 16-22 at Clemson University

July 21-27 at Clemson University
Open to rising sophomores and juniors. Limited space. Deadline March 15.
Cost $100 for the week
Activities include leadership workshops, team building, college life experiences, community engagement, whitewater rafting, and more.

Open to 4-Hers ages 8-14. Limited space. Deadline June 14.
Cost $75 for current members and $85 for non-members
Activities include fishing, shooting sports, wildlife, tent camping, swimming, and more traditional summer camp activities.

Manners Matter
July 16 from 10:00-2:00 at the Union Clemson Extension Office
Cost $20 for current members and $30 for non-members. Limited space. Deadline July 5.
5 spots available with transportation provided.
Activities include table setting, phone etiquette, American flag rules of respect, thank you notes, and more. Lunch will be provided. 

Super Hero Science Camp

Youth will explore hands on science related to their favorite super heroes!

4-H2O on Lake Murray
July 30-August 1 from 9:00 - 4:00 at Dreher Island State Park
Open to ages 10-14. Limited space. Deadline July 19.
Cost $75 for current members and $85 for non-members
Youth will learn water conservation and safety in addition to natural resources and hands on science.

Cost $20 for current members and $30 for non-members
Activities include kitchen safety, nutrition, cooking, and tasting. Lunch will be served each day.

*MEMBER DISCOUNTS: Youth may join 4-H for an annual fee of $10 and receive the member rate/$10 discount for all camps. Once the $10 additional fee for any camp is paid, it satisfies this annual membership fee and does not need to be paid again.

*NEWBERRY COUNTY 4-H REFUND POLICY:  Membership dues are not prorated and are non-refundable. If you cancel a camp spot more than 2 weeks before the start date, a full refund may be given. If you cancel with less than 2 weeks and more than 1 week before the start date, you may receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given within 1 week from the start date.
