4-H Day and Overnight Camping Programs

4-H Camp: Youth taking part in an Extension planned educational experience, either as a day program or an overnight program. Overnight residential camping includes being away from home at least one night (resident, primitive, or travel camping) and is not restricted to members of organized 4-H clubs. Day camping consists of single or multiple day programs, with youth returning home each evening. 

Needleworks: Hand Quilting
June 7-9 from 9:00-1:00 at the Extension Office
Open to youth ages 9-18, no experience necessary
$10 for current members and $20 for non-members
Learn basic hand quilting and leave with a product to enter in the fair!
No lunch break but a snack will be provided.

Mixing and Making in the Kitchen
June 30 from 9:00-4:00 at the Extension Office
Open to youth ages 9-18
$30 for current members and $40 for non-members
Processing: Butter, Jam, Peanut Butter, Ice Cream, Biscuits and more!

Pioneer Day
July 13 from 9:00-3:00 at the Jenkinsville Community Center
With transportation provided leaving at 8:15 and returning at 3:45 from the Extension Office (sold out)
Without transportation and meet us at the Community Center (still available)
Open to youth ages 9-14
$5 for current members and $15 for non-members
Craft, work, and play the old-fashioned way.
Bring your own lunch and water bottle.

Teambuilding Workshop
August 2 from 9:00-3:00 at the Extension Office
Open to youth 14-18
$10 for current members and $20 for non-members
Network with other teens and leave with a bag of tricks to lead a group.
Bring your own lunch.

STEM Day Camp
August 4 from 10:00-4:00 at the Extension Office
Open to youth ages 9-14
$5 for current members and $15 for non-members
Science, Technology, Engineering and Math: coding, robotics, rocketry, and more!
Bring your own lunch.

SC 4-H State Congress
July 6-9 at Clemson University, transportation provided
Open to 4-H members ages 14-19 for $275
This is the pinnacle event for 4-Her and includes networking, workshops, service projects, a banquet, awards luncheon and dance. Contact 4-H Agent Alana West to register.

*MEMBER DISCOUNTS: Youth may join 4-H for an annual fee of $15 and receive the member rate/discount for all camps.

*NEWBERRY COUNTY 4-H REFUND POLICY:  Membership dues are not prorated and are non-refundable. If you cancel a camp spot more than 2 weeks before the start date, a full refund may be given. If you cancel with less than 2 weeks and more than 1 week before the start date, you may receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given within 1 week from the start date.
