4-H Summer Programs

4-H Camp: Youth taking part in an Extension planned educational experience, either as a day program or an overnight program. Overnight residential camping includes being away from home at least one night (resident, primitive, or travel camping) and is not restricted to members of organized 4-H clubs. Day camping consists of single or multiple day programs, with youth returning home each evening. 

The Fair: A Virtual Summer Camp for Newberry, Saluda, Aiken, and Edgefield Counties
Since COVID-19 has hindered our ability to have in-person summer camps, we have decided to head to the fair, virtually, the week of June 8-12. The Fair will provide daily activities via email that bring to mind the sights, sounds, and smells of the fair. Registrants will receive an email on Monday, June 8 with instructions for each day. We will explore the fair using recipes, virtual tours, hands-on activities, guest speakers, books, and more. Each day should take approximately 1 hour and will not require youth to sit in front of a screen the entire time. Each registered youth, ages 5-19, will receive a packet prior to the start of camp with any hard to find materials needed to complete the activities. Tickets are $15 each and only available online.

Camp America: A Virtual Summer Camp for Newberry, Saluda, Aiken, and Edgefield Counties
Camp America will provide daily activities that expose youth to all things American: foods, landmarks, history, heroes, and more. Registrants will receive an email on Monday, June 22 with instructions for each day. We will explore America using recipes, virtual tours, hands-on activities, books, and more. Each day should take approximately 1 hour and will not require youth to sit in front of a screen the entire time. 4-H membership not required. $15 registration with a supply packet or FREE with no packet. Deadline to register is June 12.

US Road Trip via Hwy 4-H: A Virtual 4-H Summer Camp for Newberry, Saluda, Aiken, and Edgefield Counties
Our US Road Trip via Hwy 4-H will provide daily activities that expose youth to National Parks and landmarks across our great nation. Registrants will receive an email on Monday, July 6 with instructions for each day. We will explore America using recipes, virtual tours, hands-on activities, books, and more. Each day should take approximately 1 hour and will not require youth to sit in front of a screen the entire time. 4-H membership not required. $15 registration with a supply packet or FREE with no packet. Deadline to register is June 26.

International Culinary Tour: A Virtual 4-H Summer Camp for Newberry, Saluda, Aiken, and Edgefield Counties
The International Culinary Tour will provide daily activities that expose youth to foods and cultures from around the world. Registrants will receive an email on Monday, July 20 with instructions for each day. We will explore 5 different countries using recipes, virtual tours, hands-on activities, books, and more. Each day should take approximately 1 hour and will not require youth to sit in front of a screen the entire time. 4-H membership not required. $15 registration with a supply packet or FREE with no packet. Deadline to register is July 10.

Journey to Mars: An Out-of-this-World Virtual Summer Camp for Newberry, Saluda, Aiken, and Edgefield Counties
Journey to Mars will provide a virtual out-of-this-world experience to end our virtual summer camps. Registrants will receive an email on Monday, August 3 with instructions for each day. We will explore outer space through hands-on, at home science. Each day should take approximately 1 hour and will not require youth to sit in front of a screen the entire time. 4-H membership not required. $15 registration with a supply packet is the only ticket options for this camp. Deadline to register is July 24. Stay tuned for online registration information.

*MEMBER DISCOUNTS: Youth may join 4-H for an annual fee of $15 and receive the member rate/$15 discount for all camps. Once the $15 additional fee for any camp is paid, it satisfies this annual membership fee and does not need to be paid again.

*SALUDA COUNTY 4-H REFUND POLICY:  Membership dues are not prorated and are non-refundable. If you cancel a camp spot more than 2 weeks before the start date, a full refund may be given. If you cancel with less than 2 weeks and more than 1 week before the start date, you may receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given within 1 week from the start date.
