Profile/About Me
Devin Keane is a PhD student in the Department of Genetics and Biochemistry at Clemson University, working in the Gopalan Lab. His dissertation research examines DNA methylation variation across globally diverse populations, focusing on meQTL discovery and complex trait prediction. He previously worked as a bioinformatics analyst in the diagnostics division at the Greenwood Genetic Center. His M.S. thesis studying network topologies of gene-protein-phenotype interactions was also conducted at Clemson University.
Research Interests
DNA methylation variation in globally diverse human populations, with emphasis on meQTL discovery and complex trait prediction. Broader interests include the DNA repair-epigenetic aging-somatic mutation axis, aging biology and longevity research, and regenerative medicine.
