Summer Start Student Parking

Students attending the Summer Start Program are permitted to bring cars to campus for the Summer. All students who bring a car onto campus will need to purchase a parking permit and park according to the permit's rules and regulations.

ALL STUDENTS NEED A PARKING PERMIT TO PARK ON CAMPUS, INCLUDING IN METERED SPACES!

2025-2026 parking permits will not be available for sale until late-July.

FAQs

  • Where can I park on campus?
    • New students must park according to their permit's parking rules and regulations. You may also view the parking basics table
    • All student permits are valid in all student spaces Monday, May 12 - Friday, August 8, 2025. For example, commuter permits are valid in resident spaces. Resident permits are valid in commuter spaces. View the Campus Parking and Transit Map
    • There is no overnight parking in C-1 parking lot.
    • Carpool spaces require a carpool permit and are enforced during the summer.
    • Parking is enforced year-round, even when classes are not in session.
    • If you park in a metered space, you must PAY THE METER and have a valid permit. No exceptions. 
    • Some metered locations are for Visitors Only and are not valid for student parking. Read the signs.
  • Where can I park for move-in and Orientation?

    ClemsonHome and New Student Orientation will send updated information about parking closer to the beginning of Summer II.

  • Can I leave my car on campus between Summer Session II and the start of the Fall semester?

    Yes! Students can leave their vehicles on campus between the end of Summer Session II and the start of the Fall semester. However, students will need to purchase a parking permit for the 2025-2026 academic year to leave their car on campus and they must park in the areas designated for their specific academic year permit.
