TigerOne Mobile ID

What is the TigerOne Mobile ID?

The TigerOne Mobile ID is just like your TigerOne Card, now on your iPhone and Apple Watch! After adding your TigerOne Mobile ID to your Wallet, simply tap your TigerOne Mobile ID at readers on and off campus for access to residence halls, dining locations, Campus Rec, libraries, retail locations and more!


How do I get the TigerOne Mobile ID?

  1. Ensure you are setup with Clemson’s multi-factor authentication (MFA) system, DUO. To register your iPhone and for further instructions, visit https://ccit.clemson.edu/cybersecurity/how-to/duo-authentication/
  2. Ensure you are running the latest iOS software (must be on iOS 13.1 or higher). To update your iPhone, go to Settings -> General -> Software Update. Creating a backup before updating is recommended.
    1. iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus or later devices are supported.
    2. If you would like to add the TigerOne Mobile ID to an Apple Watch, ensure you are on the latest Apple Watch software (must be on watchOS 6 or later). To update your Watch, open the Watch app on iPhone, go to General -> Software Update. Apple Watch Series 1 and later are supported.
  3. Download or open the my.Clemson app on your iPhone.
    1. Select the ID icon on the top right
    2. Follow the prompts to login with your Clemson username and password, then Approve the Duo request
    3. Select Add to Wallet

How do I use it?

  • Express Mode
    • The TigerOne Mobile ID features the “Express Mode” transaction experience. For TigerOne ID readers, a user is able to approach the reader with a dark screen on their iPhone or Apple Watch without needing to authenticate via Face ID or Touch ID. Express Mode enables an extremely fast, frictionless experience designed for campus use.
    • When Express Mode is enabled, users will not be able to view their TigerOne card in Apple Wallet by double-tapping the side button or home button.
  • With Express Mode turned off
    • When you add your TigerOne Mobile ID to Apple Wallet, Express Mode is turned on by default. If you don’t want to use Express Mode, you can turn it off. Open Wallet, tap your TigerOne Mobile ID, tap the ellipses in the top right, and tap the Express Mode on/off button.

FAQs

  • iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus or later devices are supported
  • Apple Watch Series 1 and later are supported
  • On iPhone - Select Remove This Card from the back of your TigerOne Mobile ID on your iPhone
  • On Apple Watch - Open the Watch app on your iPhone, select Wallet and Apple Pay, select the TigerOne Mobile ID and select Remove This Card
  • If you lose your device and cannot remove your TigerOne Mobile ID, visit iCloud.com, select Account Settings, select the lost device, then on the Apple Pay section select Remove All. This action will remove all cards from your Apple Wallet on that device (not just your TigerOne Mobile ID).
  • After removing the TigerOne Mobile ID from one of the above methods, simply add the TigerOne Mobile ID to your wallet from my.Clemson again.
  • Visit the TigerOne Online Office and select Deactivate or Reactivate to disable or re-enable your TigerOne Mobile ID.
  • Conversely, you can visit iCloud.com, select Account Settings, select the lost device, then on the Apple Pay section select Remove All. This action will remove all cards from your Apple Wallet on that device (not just your TigerOne Mobile ID).

When using Express Mode, your TigerOne Mobile ID will not be displayed with other cards in Apple Wallet for security reasons.

On iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR (and later), you can use power reserve with your TigerOne Mobile ID. When low on battery, the TigerOne Mobile ID is available for up to five hours when Express Mode is enabled and the device’s battery needs to be charged.

  • The TigerOne Mobile ID can be used even if iPhone or Apple Watch does not have network connectivity, as the TigerOne Mobile ID is stored on your device.
  • If you are having any difficulty using your TigerOne Mobile ID to complete a transaction, report any issues to TigerOne at TigerOneCard@clemson.edu so we can investigate the issue.

You must be a current enrolled student or currently employed by Clemson University.

Yes, you will need a photo on file before you can add your TigerOne Mobile ID to your Wallet. Visit the office at the Hendrix Student Center to have a photo taken or submit your photo online.

Yes, the TigerOne Mobile ID and your TigerOne Card are both official forms of University identification. Do not lose or discard your plastic TigerOne Card as you may still need this card at select locations.
