ProfileAs a Doctor of Nursing Practice-prepared nurse educator with nine years of teaching experience, I bring a strong commitment to advancing nursing education that meets the evolving needs of our healthcare system. I have taught across all levels of undergraduate nursing education, including courses in leadership, fundamentals, and medical-surgical nursing, while also serving as a clinical placement coordinator. My experience in curricular revision and alignment with national nursing education standards, including the AACN Essentials, has helped ensure that students are well-prepared for the NCLEX and for real-world nursing practice. In addition to my academic role, I continue to practice as an acute care nurse, maintaining current clinical expertise and bridging theory to practice. I am passionate about contributing to nursing education within the university, state, and beyond and ensuring the preparation of competent, compassionate, and practice-ready graduates. I have graduate certificates in Healthcare Simulation Education and Online Teaching. | |
