Profile

Julie Vidotto serves as director of Clemson University's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, a membership community of nearly 1,100 adults in the Upstate. She is also the facility manager of OLLI's home in Patrick Square, an 8,000 square foot education center featuring four classrooms, an auditorium, demonstration kitchen and art/science studio. She previously enjoyed a 20-year career in museum and public garden education program administration, with positions at Hillwood Museum in Washington, DC, the Chicago Botanic Garden, and the North Carolina Arboretum in lovely Asheville, NC. In these roles, she has worked within many membership and volunteer program structures, and greatly appreciates the creativity and energy generated when passionate people work together towards the success of an organization they love! She holds an undergraduate degree in ornamental horticulture as well as M.A.T. and Ed.D. degrees in education administration and leadership. Her professional passions lie in understanding how organizations support complex partnership endeavors, with her most recent research exploring successful multi-agency collaborations in community colleges.
