Co-ops and Interns
Welcome to another year at Clemson University! On this page, you will find the links you need to successfully manage your financial aid during your co-op or internship. We know you have a wide variety of questions about how to defer your scholarships and other financial aid, scholarship eligibility requirements while you are working, your enrollment status, and how you can use your financial aid for summer classes.
As you make plans toward your co-op or internship, you will want to notify our office to put your financial aid on hold for your co-op/internship semester(s). This can be done by sending us a comment through iROAR on the Accept Award Offer tab under the Financial Aid Award section. You will also want to make sure that you enroll in the specific co-op/internship class you need so you will continue as a Clemson student during your time working. While you will not typically be expected to complete courses during your co-op term, you will need to make sure you meet the co-op specific credit hour and GPA requirements to renew your financial aid.
Any questions you have regarding your co-op/internship should be directed to the Center for Career and Professional Development. Once you complete your co-op/internship, you will want to contact our office again to either re-instate aid based on your current eligibility or apply for aid to be used for a summer term.
