Educational Background

B.S., Microbiology and Immunology, McGill University, 1987
Ph.D., Biological Sciences, University of Windsor, 1993

Research Interests

The overall goal of the Temesvari laboratory is to understand the molecular mechanisms regulating a virulence in the human pathogen, Entamoeba histolytica. This parasite causes amoebic dysentery and amoebic liver abscess. The Temesvari laboratory focuses on parasite-host interactions, the stress response in the parasite, vesicle trafficking and lipid rafts.
