How to Connect to iROAR from Off-Campus
Note
- iROAR/Banner is restricted to those accessing it via an on-campus connection, through CUapps or through the Clemson Virtual Private Network (VPN).
- Students registering for classes from off-campus will need to connect to CUapps or through the VPN before accessing iROAR.
- If you need assistance with the following steps, please email us at ITHELP@clemson.edu or call us at (864) 656-3494.
Access to iROAR is now restricted to those on the University network. If you are off-campus and need to access iROAR, follow either of the methods below to connect to the University network first. We recommend accessing iROAR from a laptop or desktop computer rather than a mobile device.
If you are a parent or authorized user on your student’s account, log in to the Parent Portal. Instructions for adding your parent/guardian as an authorized user can be found on the Student Financial Services website. If you are a graduate applicant, you can view the Graduate Applicant Status Check via the direct Clemson Graduate School link.
Method 1: Virtual Private Network (VPN)
Clemson's VPN functions by routing all of the network traffic on your device through a secure connection to campus. Once connected to the VPN, iROAR can be accessed at https://iroar.clemson.edu/.
Method 2: CUapps Virtual Machine
CUapps lets you securely access the Clemson systems you need from any device, anywhere. By installing the Citrix Workspace app or using Citrix Web Access, you can run Windows-based applications as if you were working directly on a Clemson desktop, without installing them locally. After you launch CUapps, you can access iROAR via a browser on your virtual desktop web browser or the ‘Apps’ tab. If you are uploading documents to iROAR, the VPN method is recommended as you will not be able to access personal computer files within the virtual machine window.
