 Profile

Katie Barnes McElveen has her Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Clemson University in Communication Studies with a sports emphasis. When she graduated from her Master's Program, Katie followed Clemson's former Offensive Coordinator, Chad Morris, to Southern Methodist University to serve as the football program's Recruiting Operations Coordinator. She and her husband, Donny, later relocated to the Triangle area of North Carolina where Katie served as a Communications Associate at Rho, Inc., a Contract Research Organization. Katie realized her true passion for teaching when she was given the opportunity to teach undergraduates at Clemson during her Master's program. She is beyond thrilled to be back at her alma mater doing what she loves, teaching fellow Tigers! During her time at Clemson, Katie was a Tour Guide for the University as well as the Head Tour Guide and Recruiting Assistant for the Clemson Football program. She served as a social media host and interviewer for different events with ESPN, ESPN's Bald Man on Campus with Scott Van Pelt, and ESPN's College GameDay. Katie also served as a Junior Host for the 2013 BCS National Championship Orange Bowl game.
