Profile

Dr. Pickett teaches Advanced Physical Assessment. A Family Nurse Practitioner with 30 years of clinical nursing experience, Dr. Pickett also holds a board certification in Advanced Diabetes Management through the American Association of Diabetes Educators. She currently maintains an active NP practice with Medical Group of the Carolinas Senior Health and St. Luke's Free Medical Clinic in Spartanburg, SC. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau.

Research Interests

Health promotion in patients who live with Type 1 and 2 diabetes, transcultural nursing, tobacco cessation in patients with cancer, psychosocial determinants of health, health promotion in marginalized populations, hypertension
