Our Charge within Clemson Elevate
The vision of Student Affairs is to deliver the No. 1 student experience. Our mission is to build tomorrow’s leaders through value-driven programs and experiential learning opportunities.
Student Affairs operates at the intersection of the academic experience and student life, building experiences that shape Clemson students and, ultimately, the people they become. The division is guided by five strategic priorities that support student success and retention, foster engagement and strengthen sense of belonging: Well-Being; Culture of Care; Spaces and Places; Laying a Foundation for the Future; and, Culture of Purpose.

Supporting the Whole Student
- Provide easily accessible and high-quality health care and counseling services
- Encourage lifelong healthy habits by equipping students with knowledge, skills, and confidence to make investments in their wellbeing
- Support healthy behaviors with innovative spaces and educational programs

CULTURE OF CARE
Building Community and Belonging
- Facilitate seamless transitions to campus life through community based residential experiences and first-year student programs
- Promote ongoing engagement/involvement opportunities to support personal interests and career readiness skills development
- Provide services to support students with personal and academic challenges
- Ensure communication strategies inform, educate and drive value for all constituent groups

SPACES AND PLACES
Enhancing the Student Experience
- Develop spaces and opportunities to support experiential learning and career readiness skills
- Provide spaces to support a healthier and more resilient student body
- Create strategically planned venues for students to live, learn and play, encouraging lifelong support for Clemson
- Honor Clemson’s history and traditions in new facility and space development

LAYING A FOUNDATION
Preparing for Post-Graduate Success
- Teach career readiness competencies to shape students into innovators, problem solvers and critical thinkers
- Enhance experiential learning and leadership opportunities to promote post-graduate success in their homes, communities, and careers
- Strengthen Clemson’s legacy by preparing students to be transformative leaders in their careers and communities
