Horse Camp at Home (Link to Flyer)

This is an online horse camp for young people interested in learning more about horses. It is free to 4-H members and non-members. Youth must register through 4HOnline by July 16 for the August 2-6 camp and have internet access with the ability to use Zoom (online meeting platform- https://zoom.us/). Each day has suggested supplies, but they are not required.

Horse Camp at Home is a free virtual camp experience for any youth. The camp is provided by the South Carolina 4-H Horse Project, but participants do not have to be 4-H members to participate but you do have to register through 4HOnline. Youth will meet daily from 1-2 pm ET, to learn about horses. Then they will receive a fun homework assignment to support the lesson they learned. Finally, youth have the option to complete riding assignments to help improve their riding skills. Register today by visiting:

Horsemanship Camp (Link to Flyer)

Purpose: To provide the 4-H Horse Project member an opportunity to learn new and better techniques of horsemanship and to enjoy the fellowship of other 4-H'ers and volunteers from different areas of the state. The camp is designed to increase their horse knowledge, horsemanship skills and showing techniques of the advanced rider as well as to introduce beginner riders to the basics of horsemanship.

Ages:  For youth ages 9-18.

Dates: Tuesday, July 13 through Saturday, July 17, 2021

Location: T. Ed Garrison Arena, Clemson, SC: Horse Stabling; Riding/Horsemanship Activities
Clemson University: On-Campus Housing of 4-Her (overnight accommodations); recreation

Cost: The total camp fee is $450. Camp fees include all meals (including dinner on Sunday through lunch on Thursday), lodging, one stall for horse or pony, two bags of bedding (it is recommended to use more than the two bags provided), recreation, riding instruction, and classroom instruction. Full payment is required with the online application. Registration is through 4HOnline.  Look for the Horsemanship Camp Event. Applications are available at www.clemson.edu/4h/horse. Deposit of $200 is due June 22. The $200 of the camp tuition is non-refundable. If for any reason a camper must withdraw from camp on or before June 22, 2021, $250 is refundable (if the total amount has been paid). After June 22, 2021, the total fee of $450 is non-refundable.
