Membership forms and $15 membership dues are submitted annually. (*Additional club dues may be required.*)
The 4-H year runs from September 1 - August 31. 4-H age is determined by the age as of January 1 of the current club year.
Youth are eligible to participate in 4-H if they meet the following criteria:
Cloverbuds - Must be 5 years old by January 1st of the program year.
Junior - Youth who are between the ages of 9-13 by January 1st of the program year.
Senior - Youth who are between the ages of 14-19 by January 1st of the program year. 4-H Members may continue in the program until the end of the calendar year in which they become 19 years of age.
Payments may be made online or by bringing cash or check (made out to Clemson University) to the Clemson Extension office in Hampton.
4-H has lots to do no matter what you're interested in or where you live. Membership in 4-H is offered to all youth, ages 5-19, on an age-appropriate basis, without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, marital or family status. There are various clubs, workshops, events as well as other ways to be involved in 4-H.
