The Cross-Disciplinary Capstone experience at Clemson University connects talented senior undergraduate students with corporate partners to tackle real-world challenges through interdisciplinary teamwork. Designed to be both impactful and cost-effective, this program provides external partners with fresh perspectives, dedicated student teams, and faculty mentorship to explore new ideas, prototype innovations, or develop data-driven solutions.
External Partners - Why Partner With Us?
By sponsoring a capstone project, you gain:
- Access to top engineering and computing students close to graduation
- A low-cost, high-reward opportunity to solve an existing problem or pursue new ideas
- A dedicated team of 4-6 students from across engineering disciplines
- Faculty mentorship from subject-matter experts within CECAS
- Weekly updates and technical mentorship, in-person or remote
- Connections to Clemson’s world-class academic resources

Proposing a Project?
Expect projects to span one 15-week semester. A donation of $8,500 per project supports student resources, faculty time, and project administration.
