Clemson Wheelchair Tennis Team
McKenna Woodhead
Clemson Wheelchair Tennis welcomed Mckenna in the fall of 2021. Joining the team kicked off Mckenna’s tennis career. Mckenna is a Clemson student majoring in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management with a concentration in Recreational Therapy and a minor in Nonprofit Leadership. Along with wheelchair tennis, Mckenna participates in other adaptive sports such as rugby, snow and water skiing, and cycling.
Marsden Miller
Clemson Wheelchair Tennis welcomed their first student-athlete to the newly developed team when Marsden Miller rolled into the beautiful Duckworth Family Tennis Facility in April 2019. Marsden is currently a senior in the ClemsonLIFE program and keeps busy with two jobs - one in the President’s Office and the other in the athletic department working in recruiting, answering phone calls and putting together material to be mailed to prospective student-athletes.
Jeff Townsend
Clemson Wheelchair Tennis welcomed their first affiliate player in April 2019 as Jeff Townsend joined the team. Jeff is a full-time lecturer at Clemson University in the Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department (PRTM). Prior to joining the Wheelchair Tennis Team he had more than twenty five years of experience in adapted sport and recreation playing wheelchair basketball. During that time, he has had the opportunity to travel all over the United States and the World playing and coaching younger players, including camps in Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Mongolia, Spain, Mexico, Australia, and El Salvador. He also played wheelchair basketball professionally in Australia (2004) and Spain (2009).
