Fasttrack to Clemson University Graduate School

Qualified seniors at participating South Carolina colleges can take two graduate courses at their home institution and get credit towards their M.S. or M.Eng. degree at Clemson University.

This program is for you if you:

  • Have completed the prerequisite courses;
  • Plan to pursue a graduate degree at Clemson University;
  • Are accepted into a Clemson engineering graduate program (+3.0 GPA).

4+1 Graduate Program: STEM ALL IN Academy is a B.S. to M.S. university partnership for top students to begin a graduate education early. Students will receive scholarships to support their enrollment in coursework that can count towards a graduate degree at Clemson University in Automotive, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering, while completing their undergraduate degrees at their home institutions. Selected participants will be guaranteed a spot in the annual STEM ALL IN event for prospective graduate students.

Fast Track Graduation: Students can earn their graduate degree at Clemson in 1 calendar year after earning their undergraduate degree, reducing overall expense and increasing career potential with advanced engineering skills.

Most students complete the course(s) online, but they can be fulfilled in person if time and location allow, opening up additional opportunities.

    • AUE 6930 - Special Topics in Automotive Engineering

    Bioengineering

    • BIOE 6380 - Engineering Controls and Validation for Microbiological Systems (+BIOE 6381 - Lab)
    • BIOE  6400 - Biopharmaceutical Engineering
    • BIOE 6470 - Synthetic Biology Fundamentals

    Industrial Engineering:

    • IE 6620 – Six Sigma Quality
    • IE 6400 – Decision Support Systems in Industrial Engineering

  • Documents to Apply as Student

    Students who plan to participate in the program must apply to our STEM All-In Academy application to be eligible for the Scholarship to fund their tuition at Clemson. This will require the student to submit:

    • Transcript
    • Statement of purpose
    • Letter of recommendation

    Students will need to complete Clemson’s Graduate Application as a Non-Degree student in the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences to register for a 6000-level M.S. course. The Application for Non-Degree Graduate studies is free.

    As part of the application process, once you have completed the Graduate Application and the Stem All-In Academy application, you will need to provide the registrar’s office with the following documents:

    • An Official Transcript o Mail to: Registrar's Office, 102 Sikes Hall, Clemson, SC 29634 o E-transcript: registrar@clemson.edu
    • Provide proof of Legal Presence or United States Citizens — A copy of your US Passport OR birth certificate.

Start planning during your junior year to ensure you have completed the required prerequisite courses and can fit graduate coursework into your schedule. Early planning helps you maximize scholarship opportunities, stay on track for accelerated graduation, and reduce the overall cost of earning your graduate degree.
