 Profile

Dr. Jesch completed his education at the University of Nebraska (Lincoln) where he earned a BS degree in Animal Science, a MS dgree in Nutrition and Health Sciences, and a Ph.D in Nutrition. His research interests involve the interaction of nutrition and exercise. A couple of the projects he is currently conducting include the timing of exercise around meals, the timing of nutrient consumption before, during and after exercise, and examining the interaction of exercise intensity with macronutrient consumption.

 Research Interests

My research interests are examining the interaction of nutrition and exercise. A couple of the projects we will be working on are looking at the the interaction of diet and exercise recommendations on physical performance and health, methods and error in body composition measurement using dual energy x-ray absorptiometry, and the effects of training intensity on musculoskeletal health.
