William Hardee joined Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service in June of 2013 after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Education at Clemson University. Hardee is the Area Agronomy Agent for Horry and Marion Counties. With over 400 producers and a combined 115,000 acres of row-crop production, Hardee spends a good deal of time in the field helping growers with pest management and many other agronomic issues. As a native of Horry County, Hardee is familiar with the community and many of the agricultural problems they face on a daily basis. He is able to assist his growers by providing them with research based information as a Certified Crop Adviser (CCA), and offering crop production meetings that inform them of new technology, practices and methods.
