Dr. Andrae is currently the Extension Forage Specialist at Clemson University, a Professor in the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences, and the Director of Simpson Research and Education Center. He holds a 40% extension and 60% administration appointment. Extension efforts are focused on improving grazing management practices, incorporating legumes into grazing systems, developing systems for producing forage-finished beef, and decreasing the impacts of tall fescue toxicosis through management practices and novel endophyte incorporation. He received the American Forage and Grassland Council Merit Award in 2008 and has served on the AFGC Board, SPFCIC Board and American Forage and Grassland Foundation Board.
