Profile

I am originally from Punjab and did my undergrad and Masters degree at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, India. My Master's research was focused on understanding the genetics of fertility restorer gene(s) in eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) and identification of QTL(s) responsible using NGS-BSA. This research contributed to the goal of development of CGMS based hybrids in eggplant.

Research Interests

I am interested in understanding the genetics of economically important traits using genomics. My current research focuses on genetics of bacterial leaf blight (Pseudomonas spp.) resistance in Brassica leafy greens (turnip greens, mustard greens) and spinach.
