Profile
Patty is SC Designated Scrapie Epidemiologist and BQA (Beef Quality Assurance) state coordinator. She is past president for AASRP (American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners), AABP (American Association of Bovine Practitioners), ACVPM (American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine) and American Association of Extension Veterinarians. She served on Christian Veterinary Mission board of advisors and did a short term shuttle to Haiti in 2015 to teach about livestock health and treatments.
Member of SC Cattlemen Association, SC Farm Bureau, SC Sheep Industries Association, Southern Goat Producers Association, and SC Forage and Grazing Lands Coalition.
Extension and Outreach
Involved with beef cattle, goats and sheep production/management/herd health. Major areas of activities include biosecurity, Beef Quality Assurance, Scrapie eradication and FAMACHA/parasite control training in small ruminants.
