Research Interests
Improvement of crop production, crop diversity, plant health, and natural resource conservation through molecular genetics and breeding approaches.Our research is focused on 1) improvement of cotton fiber and seed quality, 2) cool-season Brassica oilseed crop profitability and breeding in the Southeast region, 3) cool-season legume Fava bean, and 4) establishing sesame as an alternative summer crop in the Southeast regions. We apply findings from the crop diversity and improvement research to sustainable agriculture and crop rotations.
