LSF Room Guidelines

The primary purpose of all conference rooms and event areas managed at the college level is to provide meeting spaces for use by faculty, staff and students in the College of Science. These spaces in the Life Sciences Facility can be scheduled between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The needs of the College will take precedence over all other scheduling. Please review the rooms’ space and technology capabilities before submitting your reservation request. LSF 026 is now being scheduled by the Clemson Light Imaging Facility. Please send those reservation requests to imaging@clemson.edu.

All users must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Reservations for the rooms and event areas listed above must be made with advance notice, when possible.
  • Reservation requests should be completed using this Conference Room Scheduling link.
  • Reservations for students and student organizations must be made by the faculty adviser, and a faculty or staff member must be present at all times.
  • No more than two indoor spaces may be reserved by any one group at the same time.
  • Full-day reservations outside of the College of Science will not be allowed. Consecutive full-day reservations during the work week will not be allowed.
  • Priority will be given to College of Science faculty and staff, and their ability to conduct day-to-day business/education takes precedence over the use of the space by other groups for other purposes.
  • If it becomes necessary to cancel a reservation, please contact Rick Moseley as soon possible.
  • Food preparation is allowed in break room areas only. The use of cooking equipment such as hot plates or similar items is prohibited.

The person making the reservation is responsible for the following:

  • Arranging to sign out a key from the EPIC office, 257 LSF, between 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. One key will be issued per room request. The key must be returned immediately after your reservation end time or by 8:30 a.m. the following day if your reservation ends after 4:30 p.m.
  • For LSF 043 or 141 reservations made for weekly meetings throughout a semester, a key can be checked out from the building manager. The person checking out the key should not loan the key to any other person.
  • Becoming familiar with the IT/AV equipment in the conference room prior to your reservation. If you have questions or if equipment malfunctions, contact IT help: ithelp@clemson.edu.
  • Returning all furniture to its original arrangement.
  • Removing all food leftovers and all food-related trash and making sure tabletops and chairs have been wiped clean.
  • Any damage or loss of University/college property.
  • Locking the door after use and turning off the equipment (turn power off on the touch screen).

Failure to adhere to the above responsibilities will result in probationary status of the person making the reservation. Following a third occurrence of not meeting these responsibilities, the person making the reservation will be denied future use of all college meeting rooms and event areas for one year.
