Profile
I am currently a Ph.D. student at Clemson University, where my research focuses on Agricultural Education. I earned a Specialist degree in Agricultural Management (equivalent to a Master’s degree) in 1999 and completed my Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness in 2005. I have over 20 years of teaching experience at an Agricultural University in Ukraine, along with extensive International Experience through Academic Internships and participation in professional Conferences. I was a Grant-Funded Visiting Scholar at The PennState University twice, in 1999 and 2004. My academic and professional background combines Agricultural Management, Marketing, and Education, with a strong emphasis on International and Interdisciplinary Perspectives.
Research Interests
My research interests focus on the development and validation of presentation effectiveness evaluation tools in agricultural and controlled environment education. Specifically, I am interested in designing the Presentation Effectiveness Evaluation Rubric (PEER) for use in Salinity and Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) courses, with an emphasis on universal design for learning and accessibility. Additional interests include assessment of student communication skills in interdisciplinary agricultural science courses, integration of technical and scientific content into effective oral presentations, and the use of rubrics to support formative feedback and instructional improvement in CEA education.
