Profile

My name is Md Mahfuzur Rahman, and I am a Ph.D. student in Food Packaging at Clemson University. I am currently working on developing innovative, sustainable nanofiber-based solutions for food and healthcare packaging to enhance safety, quality, and shelf life. Through my academic and professional experience, I have developed expertise in antimicrobial packaging design, regulatory compliance (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FDA), microbiological testing, and product development. I also bring skills in electrospinning, bioactive material integration, protocol optimization, and food safety research, bridging materials science with real-world applications in the food and healthcare industries.

Research Interests

My research focuses on developing nanofiber-based food and healthcare packaging materials with enhanced antimicrobial and barrier properties to ensure safety, quality, and extended shelf life. I aim to integrate natural bioactive agents, such as essential oils or biopolymers, into electrospun nanofibers to create sustainable, biodegradable, and functional packaging solutions.
