Founded in 1937, the Clemson University Block and Bridle Club holds a rich tradition of livestock appreciation and fellowship. Our members come from an array of backgrounds, but all are brought together with common interests in beef cattle, dairy cattle, horses, sheep, swine, or poultry. Major activities include both social and educational events. Outstanding speakers provide students with information about present and future activities in Animal Agriculture.The highlights for the year are the Little North American Showmanship Contest and the annual banquet with the election of outstanding leaders to honorary membership and the distribution of awards earned and won for outstanding activities by members. The B&B Club has sponsored the livestock, meats and horse judging teams. Projects to earn money for all club functions, including national trips and scholarships, are the ham sale, concessions at the T. Ed Garrison Arena, and assisting with livestock sales.
