Profile

As a Survey Coordinator for the Asian Longhorned Beetle Eradication Program, I support efforts to protect our forests through supervision of field staff and field data collection, GIS mapping, and direct coordination with staff, contractors, and property owners. My background combines a strong academic foundation with hands-on experience in natural resource management, and I bring a challenge-driven mindset and a naturally inquisitive approach to every part of the job.

My education consists of a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Wildlife and Fisheries Resources, with other certifications and trainings in varying related subjects included. My technical skills include GIS applications, plant identification, field data collection and management, designing and organizing SOPs and procedures for survey and detection of ALB, and a range of safety and CPR certifications essential to being prepared for fieldwork in isolated and potentially hazardous worksites.

Outside of work, I enjoy photography, hiking and camping, tennis, science fiction media, and playing guitar. Whether I'm in the field or behind a lens, I try to always be exploring, learning, and staying engaged with the world around me.

Vegetation response to change and disturbance, species diversity, ecology, disturbance ecology, succession, invasive species, ecosystem invasibility, invasive species pathways, restoration ecology, plant identification and systematics, GIS, silviculture and silvopasture applications
