Profile

Winston is a graduate research assistant in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation, working under Dr. David Coyle. His current research examines how invasive woody plant management influences communities of invertebrate decomposers. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Entomology and Forestry from the University of Georgia, where he conducted research on biological control and applied arthropod ecology in agroecosystems, the responses of wood-boring insects to tornado damage in pine plantations, and the conservation of saproxylic beetles.
