Jen has lived all over the US and attended the University of Florida where she received dual bachelors' degrees in biology and Russian. She attended Clemson University for her master's degree in biology where she spent time conducting field research in the Russian Far East. In 2015, she began working with the Southern Blue Ridge Fire Learning Network and developed The Fire Learning Trail, an enhanced interpretive trail in Pisgah National Forest. She joined the Consortium of Appalachian Fire Managers & Scientists as Public Information Coordinator in 2016. Her work focuses on science delivery and connecting natural resource managers, researchers, and the public.
