Profile
Garrett Ulmer is the Livestock and Forages Agent for Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper Counties. He began working for Clemson Extension in July 2026. Garrett earned his bachelor's degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from Clemson University in fall 2023 and his master's degree in Animal Science from the University of Tennessee in summer 2026. While pursuing his bachelor's degree, Garrett gained hands-on experience working on seedstock, commercial, and research cattle operations across a variety of production settings. Through these experiences, he discovered that his favorite part of livestock production is the selection of sires and dams to produce genetically superior offspring. As a Livestock and Forages Agent with Clemson Extension, Garrett looks forward to assisting producers by providing research-based information to help make their operations more productive and profitable.
