Profile
Prior to joining the Home and Garden Information Center (HGIC) in 2015, LayLa managed Clemson University’s Hemlock Woolly Adelgid/Predatory Beetle Rearing Laboratory funded through the Initiative on Biological Control against Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (Forest Health Protection-USDA Forest Service). She brings an added Forest Entomology/Invasive Species component to Extension as well as providing assistance to SC residents with landscape tree care and monitoring programs for potentially threatening insects.
Extension and Outreach
As a staff member of HGIC, LayLa provides research based information to SC residents regarding landscaping, gardening, plant health, household pests, food safety & preservation, and nutrition, physical activity & health.
