Profile
Nayeli K. Sanchez is a Research Technician in the Streams, Rivers, and Estuaries (STRIVE) Laboratory at Clemson University’s Baruch Institute of Coastal Ecology and Forest Science. She holds a Master of Science in Environment and Natural Resources from The Ohio State University, where her research examined the effects of land use and environmental stressors on phytoplankton community dynamics in the Upper Ohio River Basin. Her work focuses broadly on freshwater and coastal ecosystem science, including water quality monitoring, field and laboratory studies, data analysis, and scientific communication. Nayeli is a former Ronald E. McNair Scholar and was a participant in the Society for Freshwater Science’s EMERGE mentorship program. She contributes to research, supports student training, and engages in outreach and professional service within the freshwater science community.
